Warranty Information

Last Updated: August 22, 2026

At Lyzen Tech LTD, we want customers to have clear information about warranty support for products purchased through our store.

Warranty coverage may vary depending on the product, manufacturer, supplier, component, and warranty terms applicable to that product.

Any commercial warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under applicable UK consumer law.

Warranty Coverage

Where a product is supplied with a manufacturer's or supplier's commercial warranty, the applicable warranty period and coverage may be stated:

  • On the product page

  • In the product documentation

  • In the manufacturer's warranty information

  • In information provided with your order

Please review the warranty information applicable to your specific product.

We do not represent that every product or component has the same warranty period.

What May Be Covered?

Depending on the applicable warranty, covered defects may include manufacturing defects affecting components such as:

  • Frame

  • Electric motor

  • Controller

  • Display

  • Battery

  • Charger

  • Electrical components

  • Other manufacturer-covered components

Coverage depends on the specific warranty applicable to the product.

Batteries

Electric bike batteries are consumable components whose capacity naturally decreases with age and usage.

A manufacturer's warranty may cover certain manufacturing defects but may not cover normal reduction in battery capacity resulting from regular use and ageing.

Battery warranty terms can vary significantly between manufacturers and products.

Always follow the manufacturer's charging, storage, and maintenance instructions.

Normal Wear & Tear

Commercial warranties generally do not cover normal wear resulting from regular use.

Examples of components that may experience normal wear include:

  • Tyres
  • Brake pads
  • Chains
  • Sprockets
  • Bearings
  • Grips
  • Cables
  • Tubes
  • Other consumable components

Whether a particular issue is covered will depend on the applicable warranty and circumstances.

What May Not Be Covered?

Subject to the specific warranty terms and your statutory rights, commercial warranty coverage may not apply to problems caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Accidents or collisions
  • Misuse or abuse
  • Improper storage
  • Neglect
  • Incorrect assembly
  • Failure to perform required maintenance
  • Unauthorised repairs
  • Unauthorised modifications
  • De-restricting or tuning the product
  • Using incompatible batteries or chargers
  • Water damage beyond the product's specified resistance
  • Damage caused by incorrect charging
  • Commercial use where excluded by the applicable warranty
  • Use outside the manufacturer's intended purpose

Unauthorised Modifications

Modifying the motor, controller, battery, wiring, speed restrictions, firmware, or other electrical components may create safety risks and may affect commercial warranty coverage.

We recommend keeping the product in its manufacturer-approved configuration unless an authorised modification is specifically permitted.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your product has developed a fault covered by an applicable warranty, please contact our customer support team.

Please provide:

  • Your full name
  • Order number
  • Product name/model
  • Description of the issue
  • Date the problem began
  • Clear photographs of the affected area
  • Video demonstrating the issue where reasonably necessary
  • Additional information may be requested to help diagnose the problem.

Troubleshooting

For certain technical issues, we or the applicable manufacturer/supplier may ask you to complete reasonable troubleshooting steps.

This may help determine whether a component requires adjustment, repair, or replacement.

Please do not dismantle electrical components unless specifically instructed by an appropriately authorised person.

Inspection

A product or component may need to be inspected before a warranty claim can be approved.

Where applicable, we will provide instructions regarding the next steps after reviewing your claim.

Replacement Parts

If a warranty claim is accepted, the appropriate remedy will depend on the applicable warranty terms, the nature of the fault, product availability, and your legal rights.

This may include, where appropriate:

  • Technical assistance
  • Replacement component
  • Repair
  • Replacement product
  • Another appropriate remedy

Shipping & Warranty Claims

Responsibility for transportation or shipping costs associated with an accepted warranty claim will depend on the circumstances, applicable warranty terms, and your statutory rights.

We will provide instructions after reviewing the claim.

Warranty & Regular Maintenance

Electric bikes require regular maintenance.

Customers should routinely inspect and maintain components such as:

  • Brakes
  • Tyres
  • Wheels
  • Chain or drivetrain
  • Suspension
  • Fasteners
  • Electrical connections
  • Battery
  • Charger
  • Failure to maintain a product appropriately may contribute to faults or safety issues.

Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this Warranty Information is intended to exclude, restrict, or replace your rights under applicable UK consumer law.

Your statutory rights may apply independently of any manufacturer's, supplier's, or retailer's commercial warranty.

Where goods are faulty, not as described, or otherwise do not conform to applicable legal requirements, you may have remedies available under UK consumer law regardless of the terms of a commercial warranty.
